11. My trip to Madrid

On Tuesday the 8th of April we went by bus to the Girona's train station. There, we took the AVE to Madrid, the capital city of Spain. While waiting, we did a luggage race.

The first place we visited was the "Congreso de los Diputados". We had lunch at "El Museo del Jamón" in the city center. After that, we visited the Prado Museum and relaxed walkin around the Retiro Park. Finally we saw the "Puerta de Alcalá". At the end of the day, we returned to the hostel and unpacked the luggage.

On the second day we had breakfast and then we visited a lot of places: la Plaza del Sol, la Plaza Mayor, el Palacio Real, la Almudena cathedral, the Xi'an army... and also la Plaza Neptuno, Cibeles and the Madrid Council. We wanted to eat somethin local, so we went to have dinner at la Plaza Mayor and had a "bocata calamares".

On the last day we saw the Gran Via's shops and flats. We visited la plaza España and el Templo de Debod too. We ended the trip seeing the Madrid's senado. We returned to Girona by AVE. There we took a bus, again, to Banyoles.

We had a lot of fun during this trip and interviewing the local people. We also had some free time to enjoy ourselves and buy souvenirs. We learnt a lot of new things in three days.

9. A dialogue for a story

FRIEND: Maria, Maria! Can you hear me? I need some help.

ME: (Name)? Where are you? What's happened?

FRIEND: I'm at the beach. I was sailing and I hit with a rock and then I sink in a hole.

ME: Are you OK?

FRIEND: No, I've injured my elbow and my wrist. What am I going to do?

ME: Don't panic! Let's phone the coastguard.

FRIEND: OK, but hurry up! I don't know how long I can stand here.

ME: OK, OK, hang on! I'm sure that someone will come soon.

FRIEND: Maria!

ME: Now what's happen?

FRIEND: The boat is going to sink. Help!

7. A report about a survey

The topic of the Survey was "Your opinions about the future". A group of ten people did the Survey and in general they were positive about the future. These are the results:

Most of the group thinks that humans will exist in the next millenium, and half of they think that the World will be a bettes place in the future. They think that we will be more intelligent in the future.

Most people of the group think that space travel will be normal in the next century and some of the people think that humans will live on other planets in the future. Nobody says that they will travel into space if they have the chance.

5. A story about a rescue

The rescue happened while we were on the Seychelles Islands last summer holidays.

I was with my family and we were in the boat. We were sailing in the sea when we saw three people on a little island. kThere was a man, a woman and a girl and they were shouting. Five caimans were coming from the jungle behind them. A sufer went to the people with her surf table.

The surfer went to the people and rescue them. She was very brave because the caimans were very dangerous.

6. A biography

WRITING

Hi. My name's Maria and today I want to talk about Harry Styles. 

Harry Edward Styles born on 1st February 1994 in Redditch. He is an English actor and pop singer in the band "One Direction". He started singing with his band "White Eskimo" in Holmes Chapel with his friends. In 2010, Styles attended as a solo artist in the British X Factor. There was eliminated, but he can come back into the competition if he formed part of a group with other four boys: Niall, Louis, Liam and Zayn. The five boys created 1D.

The first single of the group was “What makes you beautiful” and was the number one at UK Singles Chart. They make three CDs: “Up All Night”, “Take Me Home” and “Midnight Memories”; two worldwide tours: “Up All Night Tour” and “Take Me Home Tour”, and in may they'll start “Where We Are Tour”. They win a lot of awards, like Brit Awards and MTV Video Music Awards. Also, they made a film: “This Is Us” and a fragrance: “Our Moment”.

When Harry was a baby, moved with his parents and her older sister Gemma to Holmes Chapel. When he was seven years old, his parents divorced and his mother later remarried. At that age, he loved singing and Elvis Presley, Coldplay and The Beatles were his influences. At sixteen years old, he worked part-time at W. Mandeville Bakery.

He had a lot of relationships with singer or models like Caroline Flack, Taylor Swift, Cara Delevingne or Kendall Jenner. Always, the girls were older than Harry.

10. An internet forum

Hi. My name's Maria and I live in South London. I don't like the area where I live, so I want to improve it. 

In my opinion young people spend all their time hanging around on the street. There are sometimes problems with vandalism and graffiti, so there isn't anywhere for young people to go. There aren't any facilities for them.

I think the council should do something about this. I'm sure they must have some land which young people can use for a youth café project.

"The others"

1.THE OTHERS

Last month we saw "The Others", a scary film. I love scary films, but I can't sleep. This film is from year 2001 and it won eight Goya Awards. Here's a little introduction of the film.

In the year1898, in England, a family lived in an old house. The mother (Grace) was rich and the children (Anne and Nicholas) were photosensitive. The father was at the war and they were sad. In the house were two rules: every time you enter in a room, you must close the door with the key; and all the curtains must be closed when Anne and Nicholas were there. And one extra thing is: the family belived in God.

One day arrived Lydia (was mute), Mrs Mills and Mr Tuttle, the new servants. The mother explain them the rules and they promise that.

In the house happened strange things and Anne was the only can see the ghost called Victor, and they were friends. When Anne told that to her brother, he started crying and her mother was angry and didn't believe she. But one day, the mother heard a noise. She think was Lydia, but Lydia stayed with Mrs Mills and Mr Tuttle in the garden. Then, she believed her daughter.
