1. Last summer

Hi! I'm Maria and this is my oral presentation about my last summer. First I'm going to talk about Banyoles and then about "This Is Us".

In July and August, my friends and I met in Can Janeret and we ate an ice cream or we went to Elisenda's house and watch a movie or played table games.

In 16th of August Elisenda, Núria Jaén, Xènia Salellas and I went to the Plaça Major for "Els Catarres" concert. Elisenda and Xènia bought a CD signed by them.

On 30th of August Maria Serra and I went to PDA to meet Xènia Tubert, Clàudia Vallmajó, Clàudia Guilana, Júlia, Georgina and Francina. There we went to the premiere of the film "This Is Us". I think this is the best movie ever!

This has been a fantastic summer for me.

The Host

This is a film of a book by Stephenie Meyer, the aouthor of the Twilight series. There are no vampires this time - Earth has been infiltrated by parasitic aliens called "souls", which possess humans. There's a love story, of course, between a boy and a "soul". Twilight fans will be happy!

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift's personal pop songs are loved by millions of fans... but it's her positive attitude and generosity that make her a real star.

From the moment the 14-year-old singer arrived in the city of Nashville, USA, it was clear she was destined for success. Taylor Swift moved to the American country music capital from her home in Pennsylvania for just one reason ... she wanted to be a famous country singer. Her songs soon made an impression on music bosses... and her dream became a reality.

Early Success

In 2006, at age 16, Taylor released her first single "Tim McGraw" about one of her ex-boyfriends. Love has been a theme of her music ever since. Taylor's public appreciated her intimate, autobiographical songs and in 2008 she was nominated for her first Grammy award.

Then at the 2010 Grammy awards, she became the woungest singer to win Album of the Year... at the age of 20.

International Star

The talented singer now has an international reputation. Taylor's third album, Speak Now, was Number One in the USA, and Taylor has also toured North America, Europe and Australia. Taylor loves playing live shows and speaking with her fans. "Fans are my favourite thing in the world", she says. "I'll hang out with them after the show. I'll hang out with them before th show".

Love life

Recently, Taylor has been the subject of speculation about her relationship with One Direction's Harry Styles. She says she is embarrassed that people talk about her love life. In the past, Taylor has had lots of famous boyfriends such as Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner and Jake Gyllenhaal. So does she always go out with famous boys? "I really don't have any rules when it comes to height, age, career choice", she says.

Positive influence
Like other pop artists such as Shakira, Taylor Swift likes to help others. She gives money to schools and recorded the Hope for Haiti Now album for the victims of the disaster there. She also has a good influence on young people: Taylor avoids alcohol and cigarettes. "I don't drink to get drunk because that's just not cute... and I don't want to smoke anything because I sing", she says.

Taylor the actress
Taylor Swift isn't just a country singer... she is an actress too! Taylor has had roles in Valentine's Day, The Lorax and the TV series CSI. She also played herself in the film Hannah Montana: The Movie. With a successful music career and all her Grammy awards, perhaps the next step for Taylor Swift is to win an Oscar?

Oral presentation about my last summer

MY LAST SUMMER
Hi! I'm Maria Port and this is my oral presentation about my last summer.
First I'm going to talk about my stage in a camp and then I talk about my family holidays in Andorra.

STAGE IN A CAMP
Last summer I went to a camp in Sant Miquel de Campmajor. Its name is L'Arcada. The theme of the camp was the Indians.
I stayed there for 7 days and I had a great time. There I met many firends. Some activities like archery and kamikaces were funny.
At night it was very cold. We slept in large teepees with the rest of the tribe. Elisenda, Maria Serra an I were part of Kyowa and Clàudia Vallmajó and Xènia Tubert were part of Apache.
L'Arcada is a funny camp.

FAMILY HOLIDAYS
With my family I went to Andorra. Andorra is in the north of Catalonia, in the Pyrenees. There, we stayed for 5 days and my mother and I went shopping most of the time. We also went to excursions and live to Caldea, a very relaxing spa.
Andorra is a beautiful place. There are lots of parks, trees and plants. There is nature, but there isn't a beach.

This has been a fantastic summer for me.

10.A diary entry about a trip

Saturday 15th August
I'm going to go an expedition next Saturday. We're going to stay on a campsite in the Alps. I must take my laptop, so I can continue this blog.

Saturday 22nd August
Here I am in my tent. It's cold and sunny, and we're staying next to a river. I'm going to take loads of photos because the mountains are spectacular. We're going to go riding a horse on the mountains later.

Sunday 23rd August
This is me with my horse. We had a fantastic time, but in the mountains it was very cold. I went in the field five times so I know it! We're going to walk in the mountains tomorrow. I must take my compass and a first-aid kit.

Music

Beyoncé

Beyoncé is having a busy year! She sang at President Obama's inauguration ceremony and at the Super Bowl halftime show. Now she has made a documentary film about her life as a mother, busenesswoman and superstar. Beyoncé will also play concerts in Paris and London this month, and has said that a new album will be finished very soon!

Justin Timberlake

Recently, Justin Timberlake has been doing more films than music. Now he has returned  with a new album called The 20/20 Experience. Justin's first two albums, Justified (2002) and Future Sex / Love Sounds (2006), sold more than 7 million copies each. Will his new album be a hit too?

                                    

 

9.A profile of a famous person

Liam Payne's full name is Liam James Payne. He was born on 29th August 1993 in Wolverhampton, UK. He's 1 metre 78 centimetres tall. He's slim and ge's got short ginger hair and brown eyes.

Liam first sang when he was twelve years old, and he bemace professional when he was seventeen.

He sang for Pink Productions when he was twelve years old, and now he sings for One Direction.

Liam won his first big trophy with One Direction in 2011, when they were MTV Video Music Awards champions.
